TAJIKFILM

On 08.12.2020, in the building of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting of the Government Council for the Development of National Cinematography was held under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sattoriyon Matlubahon Amonzoda. The meeting was attended by members of the Council and invited guests.

The agenda of the meeting included four topics, including:

1. On the execution of the instructions of the minutes of the meetings of the Council in 2019;
2. Preparation for the organization and holding of the first international film festival “Dushanbe”;
3. On the activities of the Art Council of the State Institution “Tojikfilm”;
4. Discussion of the project of Daler Rakhmatov’s film “Shabgardon” (“Sleepwalkers”).

Director of Tojikfilm, Executive Secretary of the Council, presented detailed reports on three issues of the meeting. In particular, it was noted that in order to coordinate the activities of state authorities, institutions, organizations and public associations, to develop national cinematography and implement the policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of cinema since 2015, the Government Council has been operating for the development of domestic cinematography. The Government Council for the Development of Domestic Cinematography holds meetings in accordance with the Charter.

The author of the Shagardon script, Daler Rakhmatov, spoke on the fourth issue on the agenda and briefly spoke about the content of the film.

All issues on the agenda of the meeting of the Government Council for the Development of Domestic Cinematography were discussed by the meeting participants.

Following the meeting, the relevant ministries and departments were given instructions to solve the problems of the industry, a decision was made at the meeting and the Council’s work plan for the first half of 2021 was approved.
