OPENING OF CINEMA DAYS OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN IN TAJIKISTAN
To participate in the official opening ceremony of the Days of Cinema of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan, a delegation of guests this evening visited the updated Vatan cinema.
It should be noted that on the initiative of the leadership of the State Institution “Tojikfilm” in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan, the “Vatan” cinema was renovated.
The courtyard of the cinema was festively decorated, a cultural program was prepared in honor of the guests, the delegation was introduced to the audience by the director of the State Institution “Tojikfilm” Mahmadsaid Shohiyon and the general director of the agency for cinematography of the Republic of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov.
The guests entered the Vatan cinema along the red carpet.
The presenters officially announced the opening of the Days of Cinema of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan and invited the director of the State Institution “Tojikfilm” Mahmadsaid Shohiyon to the stage.
In his speech, Mahmadsaid Shohiyon greeted the guests on the ancient Tajik land and expressed his opinion on the inextricable ties, friendship and brotherhood of the Tajik and Uzbek peoples.
He stressed that the friendship between the two fraternal peoples has a rich history and is rooted in the depths of the centuries, headed by Mavlono Abdurahmoni Jomi and Mir Alisher Navoi.
They also noted fruitful contacts and cooperation between Tajik and Uzbek filmmakers and the further continuation of this process. The development and implementation of joint film projects was one of the important areas of cooperation between Tajik and Uzbek filmmakers.
Firdavs Abdukholikov, in turn, thanked his Tajik colleagues for the warm welcome and called the development of fruitful cooperation between Tajik and Uzbek filmmakers a matter of time and inevitability.
He noted that the main goal of holding the Days of Uzbek Cinema in Tajikistan is the continuation of the good traditions of good neighborliness and brotherhood between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and the development of the film industry.
At the end of the event, the audience was shown a feature film “Ilkhak” (p. 2020 “Uzbekkino”) directed by Jakhongir Akhmedov.
Thus, the Days of Cinema of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan officially opened.
Film screenings will be held on May 20 and 21 for a wide range of filmmakers. Admission is free and open to the public.
