The film festival dedicated to the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 will be held from 3 to 7 May 2021 at the State Institution Tojikfilm together with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan and Rossotrudnichestvo ..

The official ceremony of the festival began on 03.05.2021 in the courtyard of the State Institution Tojikfilm with the laying of flowers at the Star of Memory complex and a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the war.

Then, at the invitation of the management of the State Institution Tojikfilm, the participants of the festival were invited to the cinema named after Tokhir Sobirov.

First, the audience was shown a film from the military archive of Tojikfilm

The opening speech was made by the director of the Tajikfilm State Institution Mahmadsaid Shohiyon, who officially opened the film festival dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

In his speech, Mahmadsaid Shohiyon recalled the contribution of the Tajik people to the Victory and its consequences, stressing that, along with other peoples of the former Soviet Union, the Tajik people lost thousands of brave and brave sons to ensure victory in the Great Patriotic War.

More than 300 (three hundred) thousand Tajiks fought bravely on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, 92 (ninety two) thousand of them died and went missing, more than 60 (sixty) thousand soldiers from Tajikistan were awarded orders and medals, 54 (fifty four) of them were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 18 (eighteen) soldiers became holders of the Order of Glory.

Then the floor was given to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Tajikistan Ivan Semyonovich Lyakin-Frolov. He spoke about the dedication and courage of the peoples of the former Soviet Union in achieving victory.

After that, a video congratulation of the famous director of the Russian Federation Nikita Mikhalkov was shown.

Sharofat Arabova presented the feature film The Son of Tajikistan, shot during the difficult period of the Great Patriotic War in cooperation with the Soyuzdetfilm studio.

After the presentation, the participants and guests of the festival watched the feature film Son of Tajikistan.
