JOINT COOPERATION BETWEEN THE STATE INSTITUTION “TOCHIKFILM” AND THE AGENCY OF CINEMATOGRAPHY OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN IS STRENGTHENED.
State Institution “Tojikfilm” strengthens cooperation with Uzbek filmmakers and starts production and filming of two joint feature films.
As part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Institution “Tojikfilm” and the Agency of Cinematography of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the period of preparation for the filming of the joint feature film “Invisible Star” directed by Muhabbat Sattori in cooperation with filmmakers of Uzbekistan begins.
In this connection, on December 7, 2021, a video conference of the film working groups from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took place. It was emphasized that the launch of film production is the beginning of a fruitful cooperation in the field of cinema.
A film crew of 5 people from the Republic of Tajikistan will travel to Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent from December 15 to 23, 2021 to select a cast from the Uzbek side, locations in Samarkand and Bukhara, presentation and official launch of the film.
At the same time, for the presentation of the next joint film of the State Institution “Tojikfilm” and the Agency of Cinematography of the Republic of Uzbekistan based on the script of Iskandar Usmonov “Stones and Water”, a group of two people will leave for Tashkent from December 22 to 23, 2021. By agreement with the Uzbek side, the production and shooting of the joint film “Stones and Water” will also begin, which is the second joint project of the State Institution “Tojikfilm” and the Agency of Cinematography of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
