Born on August 9, 1949 in the village of Gissar (Tajikistan).
In 1969 he graduated from the Dushanbe Polytechnic, in 1975 – from the acting department (workshop of S. Bondarchuk), in 1977 – from the directing department (workshop of G. Danelia) faculties of VGIK.

People’s Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan.
